Giveaway Coming Monday!

With a little refreshing revision of the homepage, there's a little something that has popped up that has been planned for some time... But will finally make it's way on June 21st.A World of Warcraft prize-themed giveaway! Yep, no contest, just giving away free stuff here.

If any of you have noticed, there's been a new feature added to Preferences that allows you to Opt-in your account for giveaways. So, why the opt-in process? Well, I'm sure it would suck if a non-WoW player or even a spam bot received a prize from the giveaway, wouldn't it? This just allows me to randomly pick a winner from a list of interested members (opt-in accounts), making sure the prize goes to a loving home.

There will be more information (yep, that means a giveaway page as well) sometime on Monday, June 21st. You can opt-in at any time, however, just the information is coming on that day to inform you how you could be a winner of one of five prizes! WoW nerds, it's your time to get free stuff to keep you gaming in style... And one prize to just keep you gaming for at least one more month.

If this giveaway is successful, expect to see more as well as different prizes (and yes, not all WoW related). So, how can this be successful? Get the word out about LYRobot's file hosting services, convert the poor imageshack droids, and if you truly love us like a mother would, you could link to your browsing pages instead of direct linking when you share images. (for example, linking to this instead of to full view and please not directly). Doing this will help improve our services, develop more features, and give away bigger and better prizes!

Also, coming this weekend is a features page, to highlight what LYRobot has to offer... As well as some bug fixes and UI improvements... Whoo!

    @ ShadiHD - You never know, there's not too many people at the moment to compete against for a chance :) And I'm keeping the process regardless of the number of people, so it's a guaranteed giveaway, cause free stuff is awesome.

    indeed am glad I ran to you =], now I was wondering "if" my luck was good and lets say I won 1 month game time, well to be honest my account is currently frozen so does that make me disqualified for any of these prizes ?

    Naw, you can still win the prize regardless. I believe it depends on how the Blizzard store works, but you can give away your prize if you wish as well, or obtain it. We'll figure out the details :P Winners will be randomly chosen and the prizes assigned are random too. I'd say the process is the winners are picked first, then one by one get the prizes assigned randomly. So, good luck :) If this Giveaway is a success in bringing traffic and spreading the word, another one will come.
